A waterside re-creation of an ancient village is under construction at Captain Anderson’s Marina, where the Bethlehem Christmas Village will soon light up the evenings.
Join us December 13th -16th, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. for the FREE 11th Annual Bethlehem Christmas Village!
Imagine walking through ancient Bethlehem, listening as Isaiah, Mary, and Joseph tell of the coming Christ Child.
Local schools and churches will perform the real Christmas Story through music, live nativity, and storytelling.
A different charity will benefit each night from a toy and food drive. (Friendly tax collectors will be on hand to receive toys and food for the charities.)
Gift and food vendors will populate the village.
Visitors will register for the census, pay taxes (canned goods and unwrapped toys), search for a room in local inns, view the manger scene with live animals, and stroll through the Bethlehem Marketplace to experience a bit of ancient Bethlehem.
Charity groups will be present each night to receive canned goods and unwrapped toys. Several local choirs are scheduled to sing and spread Christmas cheer.
Visitors young and old will collect story pages along the way. At the end of the experience, volunteers will assist you in assembling a keepsake booklet to enjoy each Christmas for years to come!
